L.C. Cruell is the writer/director of the unanimously, critically acclaimed web series, 31, which garnered international festival selections and wins, YT Partnership and 9 distribution deals though shot entirely in 2 ½ days for $390, as well as short films such as Flesh, Why I’m Dogperson, and I Need you, and her first feature anthology Cemetery Tales is currently on the festival circuit. She also the writer of numerous, multiple-award, festival, and fellowship-winning feature screenplays (Crimson, The Guardians, Last Call for Angels, etc.), pilots (The Four, Neph, 31) and too many shorts to mention, though many of which have been sold and are currently in production by other directors across the globe. An Honors graduate of both Duke University (where she minored in Film) and Harvard Law School, Cruell is also author of 25 published short stories, film critic for multiple publications, freelance writer/editor, entrepreneur, attorney, and member of WIFTA, SFWA, Mensa, OBS, the NATPE Diversity Fellowship Program, From the Heart Productions Fiscal Sponsorship Program (for Flesh), and the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Cutiv8 program.
